Student Grievance Redressal Cell (ICC)

As suggested by University Grants Commission, New Delhi, the College has established a Grievance Redressal Cell, to provide a mechanism for redressal of students' grievances and ensure the transparency in admission, and prevention of unfair practices, etc. The function of the cell is to look into the complaints lodged by any student, and judge its merit. The Grievance cell is also empowered to look into matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the department members in person, or in consultation with the officer in-charge Grievance Redressal Cell. In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at Administrative Block. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the officer in-charge of Student's Grievance Cell.

Objectives

  • To provide a dedicated forum where students can freely and frankly express their grievances, complaints, or concerns regarding academic, administrative, or personal issues without fear of victimization or reprisal.
  • To ensure that all reported problems are resolved in a fair, transparent, and impartial manner, adhering to the principles of natural justice
  • To establish a mechanism for the speedy and efficient resolution of grievances within a stipulated timeframe to prevent escalation of issues.
  • To uphold the dignity of the institution by promoting cordial relationships between students and teachers, as well as among students themselves, thereby ensuring a strife-free environment.
  • To address serious matters such as harassment, discrimination (based on caste, gender, or religion), and ragging, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.
  • To implement the regulations mandated by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and ensure the institution remains accountable to established legal and educational standards.
  • To use feedback and grievance data to identify systemic flaws and recommend improvements in college administration and academic processes.

Functions

  • Anonymous complaints are received through suggestion box.
  • The internal complaints committee prevents and prohibits incidents of sexual harassment of female employers and students in the college.
  • Organizes periodic activities in association with women empowerment cell.
  • The internal complaints committee provides measures on women safety for teaching, non-teaching faculty and students.
  • Provides an environment free of gender-based discrimination.
  • Displays notice and poster to spread awareness about the issue of "Sexual Harassment".
  • Takes immediate action if any case of sexual harassment is noticed or reported.
  • Maintains confidentiality throughout the process.

Grievance Submission

Students can submit their grievances in written form through the Suggestion Box located in the college campus or directly contact the Committee Members listed above. Immediate action is taken on all reported cases while maintaining strict confidentiality.
