Admission Procedure
R.T.C. B.Ed. College, Ranchi invites applications for admission to the two-year B.Ed. (Bachelor
of Education) program as per the guidelines of the National Council for Teacher Education
(NCTE), Ranchi University, and Government of Jharkhand. Admission is based on merit,
eligibility, and reservation policies as per the prevailing norms. Candidates must carefully
follow the instructions and meet the eligibility criteria outlined below:
- Total Seats: 100 (Two Units: 50 + 50)
- Eligibility:
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Science, Social Science, or
Humanities with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Divyang). Engineering/Technology
graduates with 55% marks and specialization in Science or Mathematics are also eligible.
- Age Limit:
The minimum age for admission is 18 years as on 1st July of the academic year. There is no
upper age limit.
- Residential Requirement:
Candidates must be local residents of Jharkhand as per state government guidelines under
Resolution No.-3198 dated 18.04.2016.
- Reservation Policy:
Reservation will be provided as per Jharkhand government norms under Resolutions No. 5800
dated 10.10.2002 and 1072 dated 17.02.2009. Valid caste certificates issued by authorized
officers of Jharkhand are mandatory. Backward Class-II candidates will not receive
reservation benefits.
- Horizontal Reservation:
3% horizontal reservation is available for candidates belonging to the Divyang (Persons with
Disabilities) category, as per departmental guidelines.
- Application Process:
Application forms must be submitted in the prescribed format before the last date. All
required documents must be enclosed and clearly mention the reservation category on the
envelope, if applicable.
